How to: SMS Subscribers
A how to make more money guide
Most brands wait too long to set up SMS.
And when they finally do they have a big problem:
They missed out on thousands of opportunities previously and are starting from scratch.
Let’s use an example: a company called “ GoFit “
They sell gym products, and they have built a list of 30,000 email recipients in their time.
When they finally set up SMS they start from 0.
Big deal when you have all those potential sales…..
So how does GoFit get around this?
And why would you want to do this?
Here is a screenshot of the revenue I generated with a brand new SMS list, that only used 1 of the 4 techniques I listed here:
After the first 30 days and only about 500 people entering the SMS funnel here are the results…..

35% of total marketing revenue!
SMS considered healthy is 11%, so when I say it works I mean it!
Here are the 4 Fastest Ways to Grow Your SMS List
Sign Up Forms
After setting up your flows for SMS, you will build out the funnel.
Add a step to your current pop-up form and make SMS a higher discount:
( If email is 10% SMS should be 15% )
This will take all the prospects that visit your website everyday and start funneling them into your SMS list.
Add SMS Consent at Checkout
When your customers check out there is an option ( or should be ) to click a box and opt into email marketing.
Now that we have SMS, we need a box for that too.
This is another way we can easily get list signups without much effort.
Send an SMS Signup Campaign
Setting this up is slightly complicated ( but you can use Klayvio support or ask me ).
But the idea is to create an embed sign-up form link and send it out to your email list promoting the discount.
Simple, and effective.
You might want to send multiple SMS signup campaigns, potentially 1 a month to capture the new leads always entering your lists.
Retarget Email Subscribers
This is a direct way to convert active email subscribers to SMS.
Build out a form that targets only email subscribers, and now instead of not getting a popup when they visit your website……
They get an SMS popup that is specifically targeted to them, which after testing:
Has shown conversions around 12%!
