Day 5: What happens if they buy?
How we can earn even more money from someone buying our products
Congrats!
They bought your product.
But now what?
Couldn’t we have just done that with ads?
Why does email matter if they bought from us, that was the main goal, wasn’t it?
Yes.
You can easily get someone to buy with ads, and purchase your product.
This may be the main goal in the beginning, but as your business grows you want to worry about margins.
How much money are you spending on ads to get a sale?
Would it be worth it to spend $15 on ads to get a $19.99 sale?
THERE’S NO PROFIT MARGIN!!!
At that point, you are losing money……
So how do we fix this?
EMAIL LIST!
Yes, email is going to save you from your ad spending habits no matter how high the ROAS is.
This segment is called: During Fulfillment Automations

And today we’re shortly covering Order Confirmation Emails.
How could we possibly earn more revenue with an order confirmation email you might ask?
UPSELLS!!!
This is such a crucial part of email and our sequences that I will repeat it with no remorse.
UPSELLS!
When you get an order confirmation email, it will have the typical confirmation number and details about your purchase.
But do you know how high of an open rate these emails get?
And as a business owner whose sole job is to maximize profit, why wouldn’t we use this to our advantage???
I think you get the point.
So then how do we include an upsell, without looking like we just want more money?
And did you know that a customer is much more likely to buy if they just purchased from you?
It’s like buying a car from a dealership, you might as well get the warranty it comes with if it’s not too expensive, or you might as well get the premium package so your car lasts longer right?
Well, these are all just sales techniques to increase your LTV (Life Time Value) to the company!
Yes, you do get the safety in case your car brakes down early, or the nice leather seats….
But these are high profit margins, and meant to “piggyback” the sale to earn extra revenue!
If even 1-3 out of every 100 customers bought the upsell, it’s worth it. That’s more money than if you didn’t offer it.
Now…..
How are we supposed to include the upsell without looking like scammers, or that we just want more money??
Just like the car dealership, we sell the benefits, not the product. And we do so using psychology to urge the customer to buy now.
Send a fun and memorable email
Tell a story about how excited you are they placed the order with you
Introduce the idea that it’s not sent out yet, and this ( other item from your catalog ) was either bought by the majority of other customers with their item or ( other item from your catalog ) is discounted because they just bought
Simple, fun and easy way to make a sale happen.
Now before I flood you with information, if you’re feeling that you can take a storm:
