Snowboarding Kills Another Adult
The tragic story behind a young adults dreams, and the distraction that turned his life south...

What was thought to be fun, almost killed me.
And to my surprise snowboarding wasn’t the main factor here, it was something else that led to my demise.
But not just me, this is happening every day and is likely to happen to you if you're not educated.
Before I scare you off, let’s start where things went south.
The temperature is dropping below freezing.
I’m in a car with a friend on the side of a busy highway, and the engine just blew.
After 3 hours of calling insurance, not a single tow truck arrived to the scene, and the car kept getting colder.
To our surprise, a roadworker stopped after the 3 hours we had been waiting and called in a tow truck.
“Finally”
It felt like we were getting somewhere. ( I didn’t know that this was about to ruin the coming weeks )
What would seem like an already bad situation was the fact I was out of a car, we were stuck 100 miles from home, and have no idea how to get home.
But somehow there was something worse.
You see,
Every day before this I had been marking an X for each day I conducted 2 hours of deep work, which was my way of growing my business.
And this accident caused a life-or-death situation to occur.
The next morning, we traveled to a train station, and to our surprise, we had just gained another challenge.
Carry our EXPENSIVE snowboarding equipment 100 miles from train to train, through New York City. ( Without being robbed )
Another distraction.
This was the second day I’d miss out on conducting deep work, which led to a train of days following.
We traveled to Penn Station, which was our second stop and the one that changed the way things were going.
Now, it was dark out on the second day.
We still hadn’t made it home, and we were in danger of our expensive equipment being stolen. The thought of a warm shower felt almost out of reach at that point.
Another distraction.
After what felt like a full 48 hours of trying to make it home, I finally got what I wanted:
To be home. ( And a warm shower… )
But another distraction was on my mind:
Getting my car fixed, and my life back in order.
The problem here was that I sacrificed the “Compounding Effect” I had built up from my daily learning and growing of my business.
After months of constantly being dialed, a small accident led me down a slippery slope.
I started to use my phone more which led to less productive work.
It affected me physically, I started eating candy again after cutting it out for months on end.
It affected me mentally when I started to replace my evening deep work sessions with mindless scrolling, and videogames.
The problem isn’t how to stop, it’s acknowledging the fall, and knowing how to pick back up where you left off.
If you’ve ever had life beat you up, and you have a grand vision to build your dream business or lifestyle…..
Watch this video that stopped the slippery slide, and most importantly saved my grand vision.
( It motivated me to stop my bad habits, and turn my routine around )
To build something bigger than me, and use the time outside of my 9-5 to create purpose in my life.
