Day 27: Is it too small?

The question everyone asks, but no one knows the answer to

Yes.

It is too small.

Whatever you are thinking is probably not what I am about to tell you.

Your focus on signup forms is probably way too small.

Here’s why it should be bigger:

Money.

Plain and simple.

You should care because the conversion rate of your signup forms determines how much traffic gets turned into customers.

Imagine you had 100 people look at your website and only 1 ended up being a customer, pretty bad.

But just think how much more money you could make if just 2 out of 100 became a customer.

Signup forms matter.

What is a signup form?

It’s the annoying pop-up that most people click out of when you are on a website.

But it’s not annoying to the prospects that are interested in buying your products, and just by entering their information, they could receive up to 15% OFF!

The sign up forms are the most direct way to build your list, whether it be SMS or Email.

And by now you should know why that’s important.

What conversion rate should I aim for?

8-11%.

But how?

Here are a couple of guidelines to follow:

  • Have a solid offer ( 10-15% Off first order upon signup )

  • Less words on your pop-up means more

  • Create engaging graphics/design for pop-up

  • make the X to close hard to find/ input info seem required

  • A/B test

  • make mobile and desktop specific pop up forms

How do I build one?

It’s simple.

In Klayvio there are templates and ways to build from scratch.

If you want to use other services I would recommend Alia or Formtoro

And for inspiration simply search up your competitors, go to their websites, and do some snooping around.

After about 30 seconds you should hit their pop-up, and take notes!

We have 3 days left in the challenge, so be prepared for the best value saved for last!
