Day 24: Abandonment Issues

An easy way to make some cash off of your customers, and it's not with email

Everyone’s got a little.

And our customers will actually pay us like we’re their therapists.

But how do we do that?

And especially how with SMS?

Here’s a breakdown:

Ever wonder how you magically got a text about an item you looked at on a website 3 hours ago?

“ They remembered for me! I can’t believe I was about to let this go “

If you actually wanted that item, you would be happy the company had their “Browse Abandonment Flow” set up for you.

And for them, you thank them with a purchase.

As for the setup in Klayvio, this is about it.

I use 1 SMS ( because our goal is not to annoy our customers ) and the rest of the flow is email.

Like I said in the last mini articles, SMS unsubscribe rates are high! And although we want to help them out, we also don’t want to push them away.

It’s like early on in a relationship, do you text them every second of the day, or do you ghost them to make them want you?

The world may never know, but from our experience as a company, it’s best to send few messages but powerful ones.

( If you use this in your relationship and it works, you’re welcome….. )

But then you might be asking:

What do I send them?

( We’re talking about SMS, not your girlfriend )

Yeah, it’s really that simple.

You see,

SMS you have very few characters to sell or make a difference for your prospect.

What matters is the follow-up, not so much the message.

Remember: SMS Marketing is effective primarily because we have a closer way to remind our customers to buy from us, don’t focus all your attention on the content ( omnipresence is what sells )

So the next time you get a message from a brand that you really like, ask yourself:

Was it the content, or the reminder that got me to buy?

ALWAYS QUESTION EVERYTHING ABOUT YOUR BUYING DECISIONS AS A MARKETER

YOU CAN BE YOUR BIGGEST RESEARCH TOOL
