The one thing I don't love

Unfortunately it's necessary to scale

Prospecting.

As the founder of my email marketing agency, there’s no getting around this.

Whether you are a Shopify store owner or a service business you have to prospect at some point to grow.

In my case I am at 1 client which is not covering the bills yet.

So as I’m gaining experience I need to start gaining clients and bringing more people on my team.

Here’s what’s worked so far:

  • Networking

  • Practice Work

  • Over Promising and Problem Solving to Make Up For It

Sometimes in the beginning you have to stretch the truth and then problem solve your way to filling the qualification.

For example:

When being brought onto my current project I told the owner I could scale his email marketing, but I had no clue how to.

Within the last month, I’ve grown marketing revenue by 30%, increased submit rates, implemented sales strategies and so much more.

That came simply from problem-solving.

As for prospecting, I’m still in the problem-solving stage, so for some guidance, I’ll leave this video here that helped change my perspective:
