🪙 The Vault
Your laptop can break you free from your 9-5.
There are about a million ways, but there is one that can be picked up fast, and turn your salary into secondary income.
Dickie Bush is an entrepreneur now making $10M + this year from 4 of his businesses, and his story stems from this skill.
A 30-Day Challenge
We go into Dickie Bush’s story Sunday, but to cover the skill that got him where he is, started with a 30-day challenge.
Frustrated with life Dickie decides to find a way out of his 9-5 job and picks up the skill of online writing.
He began posting on Twitter, with no traction, and terrible writing skills.
So he decides to run a 30-day challenge and if it doesn’t work out, he will quit and try another business model.
For 27 days, his writing has no likes, comments, or retweets until he wakes up on day 28 to a surprise.
His post went viral.
The effort put in was finally paying off. But the rest of this story is for Sunday, what we want to know is how did he go viral?
Daily Digest
Dickie spent every waking minute outside of his 9-5 to learn and spend time writing, from podcasts to his newsletter, to reading books.
This spawned an ocean of knowledge in his head that was ready for sharing with an audience, so he posts daily digests.
These were valuable breakdowns of the material he was consuming, posting the best takeaways and nuggets from each piece.
27 Days of consistency and some research, led to his first $5,000 with writing online.
His tactics were simple, yet effective: Consistency, and becoming obsessed with learning.
But anybody if they want it hard enough can do this, what separates him is his unique writing routine.
His simple formula for online writing success:
Learn any and everything about your passion ( watch every podcast, read every book, etc )
Translate the research to a Google doc ( take notes on all of your research, and write it down )
Run a 30-60-90 day challenge ( create challenges for yourself to stay consistent with writing, force yourself to change or improve 1 thing a day )
Build in Public ( keep yourself accountable publicly, this keeps you much more motivated and gives you the chance to be recognized )
2 Hours of Deep Work Daily ( all you need is a strong 2 hours of work every day, improve or build upon one aspect, and you can’t fail, it’s only a matter of time )
Sunday we dive into Dickie Bush’s strategy to running 4 online writing businesses together on target to hit $10M this year.
