- You're hired.
You're hired.
Words I got to say for real
Some people wait their whole career.
Or spend years impressing their boss to finally make it to this spot.
And let me tell you, it’s not as fun as you think.
Recently, the brand I work with put me in charge of hiring a new member of the team.
Mind you: I am only 1 month into working with the owner
“ Sooooo, how much experience do you have? “
That was the first question I asked in the interview, and you could tell I’ve never done this before.
But I kept going on.
The more questions I asked, I realized I was in charge of the situation and he needed to impress me.
( Something different for a change )
The point is: Take the Lead
Working as an email marketer opens the door to a close connection with a 7 figure earner, whatever they ask you to do is an opportunity to impress them.
“Hiring Manager” is not part of my contract, but I wouldn’t have gotten the contract if I hadn’t worked as hard as I did.
So for any type of work:
How does this relate?
Here is a 5-step method to opening doors if it feels like you’re stuck:
Find a skill you become obsessed with and make it your life
After 3-6 months of learning and practicing the skill, network and or ask everybody you know if they need help in that skill area or have someone they know who does
Once you find just one person, work with them for absolutely free and make them money ( working for free isn’t enough anymore, you need to produce )
After making your first free client results/money ask for 2-3 referrals in exchange for your work
Charge the referral
I guarantee if you follow these 5 steps religiously it will take you far.
And by no means is it easy, but nothing good comes easy.
I’m going to leave you with some inspiration, here’s a creator I watch and learn from:
